Last week saw the release of the new iPad with much fanfare. A week later and the problems with it are surfacing like a pod of killer whales at feeding time. First, there is the heat issue. Many users have reported that when charging, the new iPad gets very hot – substantially hotter than the iPad 2. Second, there have been numerous reports of Wi-Fi issues – weak signals and not properly connecting to a network among other things. Third, with a higher resolution screen apps are more taxing on internal storage. The new iPad does not support external storage, so users must make sure they properly anticipate their storage needs. Lastly charging. While the new iPad has one of the longest lasting batteries out there, it also takes about six hours to fully charge. Still, even with these issues they continue to fly off the shelves.
